A college with science as one of its faculty cannot be without the full-fledged Department of Physics. The Department of Physics in the college therefore started since its inception with two faculties. Physics department got its affiliation with three sanctioned post for teaching up to B.Sc. The department also got sanction from Magadh University Bodh Gaya for post graduate teaching in 2014. The Department has qualified, dedicated and sincere Faculty members who are equally passionate about their teaching and research. The Department offers undergraduate B.Sc. (Hons.) and postgraduate M.Sc. courses. The choice based credit system (CBCS) has been implemented.
The department has well equipped laboratories for U.G. and P.G. courses. Apart from General Lab department has Dark Room for experiment related to light, Electricity lab and Electronics lab. The Physics department also has a Smart Board and a full-fledged Seminar Library for both U.G and P. G sections with sufficient number of books. At present, there are one permanent faculties (Dr. S.M. Asif Ali), two lab technicians (Lalan Kumar and Deeba Firdaus), and one lab boy.
