About the Department

Department of History is functional since 1970. It has served the college in full capacity and played significant role in imparting quality education to the student of inter(now discontinued), Undergraduate and Postgraduate students. Prof. Md. Qayem, Prof. Md. Onaib, and Prof. Md. Sarfaraz Khan retired from the department. Dr. Fazlur Rahman Khan is now HOD.

The Department works for the skill and overall development of the students. We encourage students to develop critical mindset and serve the nation with pride.

Our Mission & Vision

  • Department of History is dedicated to serve the students. The vision of the Department is to make it a leading centre of History. Apart from routine work and teaching, Department and it's faculty has also guided PhD scholars of Magadh University. The Department has adopted the NEP and accordingly students are being guided at UG and PG level. Currently, one PhD scholar is registered under Dr. Fazlur Rahman Khan, HOD. The department with its team is dedicated in its mission of teaching.
